Sheridan County Considers Funding for New EMS Ambulance

Sheridan County Commissioners are set to deliberate on a proposal to allocate $200,000 from the Fiscal Year 2025-26 General Purpose Excise Tax (GPET) account. This funding is intended for the purchase of a new ambulance for Wyoming Regional EMS, as part of the Emergency Medical Services Agreement. The decision will be made during their regular meeting on Tuesday.

Additional Agenda Items

Beyond the ambulance funding, the commissioners’ meeting will cover several other significant issues. These include setting the wages, mileage, and training for Election Judges, and discussing a Resolution concerning Federal Forest Reserve and Secure Rural School Funds. Additionally, a Resolution for the continuance of the General Purpose Excise Tax will be considered.

Other agenda items include a Grant Award Agreement between the county and the Wyoming Office of Homeland Security, and a Memorandum of Understanding between Sheridan County Emergency Management and Sheridan County School District #2. These discussions highlight the county’s ongoing commitment to enhancing local infrastructure and services.

The meeting is scheduled to commence at 9 a.m. on Tuesday in the Second Floor Board Room, #220, in the Sheridan County Courthouse Addition. Members of the public are encouraged to attend and participate in the proceedings.
