The Sheridan Community Land Trust is hosting a free community event, Tracks Through Time: Celebrating Streetcar #115, to recognize the ongoing restoration of Wyoming’s last remaining streetcar. The celebration will take place on Friday, July 17, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the SCLT Big Goose Natural Area, located at 14 Lane Lane, Sheridan.
Restoration Progress and Community Involvement
This event marks a major milestone in the restoration of historic Streetcar #115 and offers the public an opportunity to see the streetcar up close, learn about restoration progress, and hear the story of its journey from Sheridan’s streets to its new home at the Big Goose Natural Area. One hundred years after the streetcar was retired—and fifty years after its first restoration—the project continues to bring together volunteers, donors, and community partners committed to preserving local history.
Guests will enjoy light refreshments, beverages for all ages, brief remarks from project partners and volunteers, and opportunities to explore the streetcar and the growing SCLT Welcome Center experience. The evening is both a thank-you to those helping move the project forward and an invitation for the broader community to become part of its future.
