While U.S. Senator John Boozman was in Rogers, Arkansas, during congressional recess, he stopped by the 40/29 studio to discuss the latest in Washington. During his visit, he told us it’s been nice seeing the patriotism and pride during the World Cup.
"Very, very proud," Boozman said. "And, the World Cup is one of the things that has actually highlighted that. And, I haven’t been a great soccer fan through the years. My daughter played. But, you know, I started watching it early and you get caught up in this. And, I’ve really enjoyed it. But, the fact that all of these people from all over the world are here. And, it’s all you hear about is how pleased they are and how nice everybody is being. You know, the facilities are wonderful and it just goes on and on."
The USA game against Belgium is set for Monday.
