Salem will celebrate America’s 250th birthday this Fourth of July with fireworks, community gatherings, and hot dogs. The Oregon State Fairgrounds will host a free fireworks show, starting at 4 p.m. with carnival rides, games, and live music.

The Salem Region Indivisible will host a ‘Reclaim Independence Day’ picnic and protest near the Capitol, featuring free hot dogs, snow cones, and lawn games. The Elk Lodge will honor veterans, first responders, and their families with a celebration, including free concessions and patriotic pride.
Baseball fans can celebrate Independence Day with a game at Chemeketa Baseball Field, where the first 500 fans will receive a free Marion Berries jersey. Gates open at noon, with the first pitch at 1:05 p.m.
