Gabe Guthrie, a young entrepreneur in Edmond, is raising money for the Edmond Police Department’s ‘Cops & Kids’ Christmas program through his lemonade stand. For the fourth consecutive year, Guthrie is donating every dollar from his stand to the program.
‘Last year, we raised about $1,100,’ Guthrie said. This year, Guthrie hopes to raise $1,500. ‘Because it’s the right thing to do, and I just wanted to have a lemonade stand, and I started out donating birthday money, and I thought it would be a good idea to combine them,’ Guthrie said.
The stand, located at Locust Lane and Fisher Road, is open until 8 p.m. Wednesday and offers classic and flavored lemonade, dirty sodas and sugar-free options.
