Actor Ryan Gosling was introduced as the star of Marvel’s upcoming film ‘Ghost Rider’ at San Diego Comic-Con.

Gosling will play the titular character, known for using a fiery motorbike as his signature mode of transportation. The film is set to be released in 2028 and will be directed by Shawn Levy.
The announcement follows years of chatter around Gosling’s potential involvement in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Gosling had previously hinted at the role in an interview, saying ‘some discussions have been had’ and that it was a ‘complicated situation’.
The film’s script will be written by Jonathan Tropper, who is also working with Gosling on the upcoming ‘Star Wars: Starfighter’ film. Marvel boss Kevin Feige said that Gosling was the one who pitched the concept for the film, and that he and Levy came in to pitch it to Marvel.
