The Rockwall County Kiwanis Club has been recognized with the Kiwanis International Distinguished Club Award for the 2024–2025 fiscal year. This award is one of the organization’s highest honors, recognizing excellence in service, leadership, membership growth, and Kiwanis education.
Community Service
The Rockwall County Kiwanis Club proudly serves the community through a variety of programs and events, including the Food for Kids weekend meal program for local students facing food insecurity, Angel League baseball providing opportunities for children with special needs, and the Key Club at Royse City high school, helping develop the next generation of community leaders.
The club also hosts the TriRock Triathlon, a sprint triathlon raising funds for the club and bringing in over 300 participants from Texas and surrounding states, and the Hometown Christmas Parade in Rockwall, Texas, raising funds for the club. As the club begins a new Kiwanis year, members are looking forward to expanding these programs and welcoming new volunteers who share a passion for serving others.
Community members interested in learning more are invited to attend an upcoming Food for Kids meal packing event on August 18, September 8, October 20, or November 10, where volunteers pack more than 1,000 weekend food bags for local elementary students each month at Divine Peace Church in Rockwall at noon.
