Rockwall, TX, played host to a unique competition as Texas Roadhouse held its first-ever Coaches Rib Relay. The event brought together six coaches from Rockwall High School and six coaches from Rockwall-Heath High School for a lively rib-eating contest. The coaches competed in a relay format, with each team member tackling a half rack of Texas Roadhouse’s signature ribs before tagging in the next teammate.
The Heath Hawks emerged victorious, earning a $500 donation to their Booster Club. The Rockwall Yellowjackets received a $250 donation for their efforts. The event was organized by Texas Roadhouse Managing Partner Terry Roan and Local Store Marketers Ansley Roan and Becky Nabors as part of the restaurant’s commitment to giving back to the Rockwall community.
Community Support
Texas Roadhouse is known for its support of local schools, nonprofits, and community organizations through fundraising events and partnerships. The Coaches Rib Relay is just one example of the restaurant’s efforts to bring the community together while giving back. The event drew fans from both schools, creating a playoff-like atmosphere with laughter, applause, and good-natured banter.
According to Terry Roan, ‘At Texas Roadhouse Rockwall, we love to support our community! We are so thankful for our wonderful schools and all the teachers, coaches, and staff that pour into the kids!’
