The 13th annual Hi-Fi Pie Fest was held in Westville, featuring a pie contest and summer music festival. The event, organized by the Westville Village Renaissance Alliance (WVRA), took place at Beecher Park outside of Mitchell Library.
Pie Contest Winners
The first-place winner for the adults competition was Cousin Jeremy’s cranberry blueberry pie, and Meyer’s ginger berry ombré pie won in the novice bakers category. Meyer Galperin, age 9, made sure to thank his parents for their help researching recipes and operating the food processor.
The park was filled with eclectic picnic blankets and lawn chairs, all angled toward the band Moto Caribbean. The event was a fun day out for families, with kids running around and playing while their parents enjoyed the music and pie.
