Bobtown, Pa. – Richard B. Stevulak, 55, died unexpectedly on Friday, August 21, 2026, at his home in Bobtown. Born in Uniontown on November 12, 1970, Richard was the son of the late Kathryn Posten Stevulak (née Arrington) of Masontown and the late John Stevulak (née Barbara) of Dilliner.
Richard graduated from Tri‑Valley High School, also known as Albert Gallatin, and spent much of his adult life working as a machinist for Tygart Industries in Carmichaels. Colleagues described him as a reliable and skilled worker who took pride in his craft.
Outside of his professional life, Richard loved the outdoors. He frequently hunted, fished, and searched for ginseng alongside his sons, enjoying the peace and tradition of Pennsylvania’s rural landscape. Those activities reflected his deep appreciation for family time and the natural world.
Family and Survivors
Richard is survived by his devoted wife, Laura Menear Stevulak; his three children—Kayla Friend (Allen) of Dilliner, Tyler Stevulak of Bobtown, and Travis Menear of Morgantown, W.Va.; and two grandsons, Dayton and Liam Stevulak. He also leaves behind his sisters Virginia Minerd (Robert), Johnetta Stevulak, and Samantha Arrington; two half‑sisters, Laura and Leona Stevulak; as well as a large extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many close friends.
Funeral Arrangements
Friends and family may pay their respects at the Richard R. Herod Funeral Home in Point Marion. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 26, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., and again on Thursday, August 27, from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. hour of service. Pastor Tiffany Burden will officiate the ceremony.
