Red Flag Warning for Eastern Idaho

The National Weather Service has issued a red flag warning for a large portion of eastern Idaho, including Driggs, from noon to 9 p.m. on Tuesday. This warning is due to low humidity coupled with high temperatures and gusty winds, which could lead to erratic fire behavior.

Teton County Fire & Rescue has suspended all burn permits through Wednesday, and residents are advised to take caution with sources of ignition if they are outdoors working or recreating.

NWS is anticipating winds at speeds of 20 to 30 mph, with gusts up to 40 mph possible, and humidity might drop as low as 13%.
