The City of Washougal is hosting a free America250 kickoff event on June 29 at 6pm in Reflection Plaza. The family-friendly event will mark the beginning of local America250 celebrations leading up to the nation’s 250th anniversary.

Community Celebration

Families, children, and community members of all ages are encouraged to attend and learn about national and local history. Washougal Museum staff will distribute copies of America’s founding documents and share historical information.

According to Rose Jewell, Community Engagement Manager for the City of Washougal, this event is about celebrating our shared history while looking ahead to the future we continue to build together. Downtown businesses will also join in the celebration through an America250 themed event.
