Schumaker noted Seager’s dedication, mentioning that the player was at the facility early, eager to get back into the lineup.
The 32-year-old is currently experiencing a challenging period in his career, enduring a 0-for-27 slump. He did not play in Friday night’s 2-0 loss to the Astros, which was a scheduled rest day. However, Saturday morning marked the onset of his back issues. This season, Seager has a batting average of .179, with seven home runs and 19 RBIs over 42 games.
