The largest Powerball jackpot of the year is set for Wednesday night, with players having a chance to win $567 million. To win, players must correctly match the five white ball numbers, which range from 1 to 69, and the red Powerball number, from 1 to 26.
Most Commonly Drawn Numbers
Since Powerball increased its white ball pool from 59 to 69 and reduced its Powerball pool from 35 to 26 in 2015, some numbers have been drawn more than others. The most commonly drawn numbers for the white balls are 21 and 61, drawn 123 times each as of July 22, 2026. Just behind was 64, drawn 121 times since Oct. 7, 2015.
For the red Powerball, 4 and 14 tied as the most frequently picked at 65 times. The numbers 13, 26 and 49 have been picked the fewest times among the white balls. For the red Powerball ball, 16, 17 and 7 are the three least commonly drawn.
Powerball offers eight possible ways of winning a prize, and drawings are every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. EDT. The Powerball jackpot continues to grow when drawings do not have a winner, and last year, the jackpot reached a whopping $1.8 billion, the second-largest Powerball jackpot in history.
