The War Eagles Air Museum in Santa Teresa, New Mexico, is now displaying a plane tied to the arrest of Joaquín Guzmán López and Ismael “El Mayo” Zambada Garcia, one of the founders of the Sinaloa Cartel.
Partnership with the FBI
The display is the result of a memorandum of understanding between the museum and the FBI El Paso Field Office. The plane, a King Air aircraft, played a key role in the coordinated federal investigation that led to the arrest of the two drug lords.
Visitors to the museum, located at the Dona Ana County International jetport, can now see the plane up close and learn about its connection to the high-profile case.
