Sanaa Lyles, a rising senior at Plain Dealing, has been selected as a first-team All-State softball player by the Louisiana Sports Writer’s Association. Lyles, who plays as a utility player on the 1A team, said she was shocked and proud to receive the honor.
Community Support
Lyles credited the program and the town of Plain Dealing for her success, saying that she was glad to have a community to back her up. She also mentioned that she hopes to make an impact from a leadership standpoint in her final year with the Lady Lions.
Plain Dealing won a home playoff game in the LHSAA Division IV Non-Select playoffs in 2026, and teammate Sofie Green earned a Honorable Mention for the 1A team as well. Lyles said she wants to inspire younger players and help her team grow through constructive criticism.
