Pig Wrestling Event Returns with New Guidelines

Following a touch of controversy and a six-year hiatus, the pig wrestling event returned this summer with new guidelines. Men age 18 and up are not eligible to compete, due to concerns about animal welfare. Teams of kids and adult women got in the ring this year after taking a required animal-handling course.

Coordinators paired smaller pigs with smaller contestants. Official results from the event are forthcoming from the Teton County Fair office.
