Paul Pelosi, the 86-year-old husband of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, was involved in a hit-and-run accident in Yountville, California, on Friday. According to the Napa County Sheriff’s department, Pelosi struck a legally parked car and then drove away. A witness reported the incident, and sheriff’s deputies found Pelosi’s car with severe damage to the front about a quarter of a mile away.
Details of the Incident
Pelosi told officers that he knew he hit something but wasn’t sure what caused the damage to his car. He did not have any alcohol in his system at the time of the crash. The sheriff’s department is recommending a misdemeanor charge for fleeing the scene of an accident.
This is not the first time Paul Pelosi has been involved in a driving incident. In 2022, he pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges of driving under the influence in Napa County and was sentenced to five days in jail and three years of probation.
