The Fourth of July pregame festivities before the France vs. Paraguay World Cup Round of 16 match at Philadelphia Stadium featured a stirring rendition of ‘America the Beautiful’ by the Philadelphia Boys Choir & Chorale. The event celebrated America’s 250th birthday and included a performance by two young individuals who delivered spoken word about the nation’s founding.

The field was transformed to resemble the American flag, complete with additional performers and pyrotechnics. Miss Pennsylvania, Stephanie Skinner, appeared as Lady Liberty, and a Navy flyover added to the patriotic atmosphere.
