Members of 805 Patriots are defending their right to wave patriotic and political flags from their cars in Goleta, California. A local business, M Special Brewing Company, asked them to leave a weekend car show in its parking lot due to their flags.
Incident Details
A former United States Marine, Jorge Cortez, had parked his 1969 Chevy Nova with a Trump flag and an American flag on the sides. He was told by a Sheriff’s Deputy that he would be trespassing if he stayed in the parking lot during the car show. Cortez expressed his shock, stating that he couldn’t believe he was being asked to leave for flying the American flag with a Trump flag.
Another woman, who was holding a toddler, shared a similar experience. She had gotten a small American flag at the M Special on State Street in Santa Barbara during the World Cup. However, when her daughter was holding the small flag inside the Goleta M Special, she was told that her daughter couldn’t wave the flag inside.
