Palm Beaches Marathon partners with five local charities for 2026 race weekend

The U.S. Polo Assn. Palm Beaches Marathon has confirmed its charitable partners for the upcoming 2026 race weekend, scheduled for December 12 and 13. The marathon will support five local nonprofit organizations, each working to improve life in Palm Beach County.

Charity partners

The selected groups are Friends of Manatee Lagoon, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Palm Beach County, the Loggerhead Marinelife Center, Palm Beach Roadrunners, and Red Apple Supplies. Each organization addresses a distinct community need, from wildlife conservation to affordable housing and youth fitness.

Matching‑funds initiative

In addition to the exposure and donations generated by the race, the marathon’s organizers will match 50% of eligible funds raised through the official race platform. This matching program is designed to amplify the impact of every runner’s contribution, ensuring that the charities receive more resources to advance their missions.

How the marathon supports the community

Beyond the charitable component, the Palm Beaches Marathon draws participants from across the region, promoting health, fitness, and tourism. The event’s timing in early December offers a festive backdrop that encourages families and friends to gather, support local causes, and celebrate the spirit of giving.

Local businesses also benefit from the influx of visitors, as participants and spectators patronize hotels, restaurants, and shops throughout the Palm Beaches area. The marathon’s partnership with the U.S. Polo Association underscores a commitment to community engagement and economic vitality.

What the charities say

Representatives from each nonprofit expressed gratitude for the marathon’s support. A spokesperson for Friends of Manatee Lagoon highlighted the importance of funding for habitat restoration, while Habitat for Humanity emphasized how additional resources will help build affordable homes for families in need. The Loggerhead Marinelife Center noted that increased donations will aid in protecting endangered sea turtles, and Palm Beach Roadrunners praised the event for encouraging active lifestyles among youth. Red Apple Supplies, a local food‑bank partner, said the matching funds will expand its ability to feed hungry families.

Community members are encouraged to register for the race, volunteer, or donate directly through the marathon’s online platform. By participating, runners not only challenge themselves physically but also contribute to a stronger, more compassionate Palm Beach County.
