A 35-year-old Lantana man, Achele Poindujar, is facing a charge of sexual battery of a victim 16 or 17 years old. He was arrested by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday and was ordered to have no contact with any person younger than 18, including the victim.

The incident began when the 16-year-old girl, who was running late for her U.S. history class, flagged down Poindujar, who was driving a brown vehicle, and asked for a ride to school. After dropping her off, Poindujar allegedly began complimenting her and offered to take her to dinner, which she agreed to. The situation escalated, and Poindujar allegedly began kissing her and trying to remove her pants in a restaurant bathroom.
The girl initially told herself she would never speak to him again but later reached out to him via text message. They then engaged in oral sex in a vehicle near her community pool area.
Poindujar was tracked down through the phone number the victim provided, leading to his arrest.
