Offensive Line Development
The success of Willis will depend in part on the protection he receives from his offensive line, including left tackle Patrick Paul and rookie first-round pick Kadyn Proctor. Paul has been helping Proctor learn the ropes, saying, ‘I show by example. I show them how it’s done and show them our standard.’ Proctor has been impressed by the team’s preparation, saying, ‘In the film room I see their notebook and their film and the preparation is what I’m seeing from them.’ The Dolphins’ offense will rely on Willis’ ability to move out of the pocket and create plays, which will put pressure on the defense.
The team will get a much-needed day off on Saturday before resuming training camp on Sunday, with the first day of players wearing pads on Monday.
