Palm Beach County commissioners have decided to delay consideration of a proposed elevated auto transit system that would connect Palm Beach International Airport with key destinations in West Palm Beach.
The California company Glydways proposed the system, which features battery-powered AI vehicles traveling on dedicated guideways to bypass traffic on major roads. The planned destinations included the convention center and the Nora District.
The project was estimated to cost between $700,000 and $1 million. Commissioners said they needed more information before they could consider the proposal and allocate funding.
