Celebrate America’s 250th birthday in true community style at the Shiloh Museum of Ozark History in Springdale, AR. On Saturday, July 11, 2026, from 3 to 8 p.m., the museum will host the Ozarks 250 Block Party, a free festival featuring live music, cultural activities, food trucks, history exhibits, hands-on demos, and family-friendly fun.

The museum’s campus will come alive with live music, dancing, hands-on activities, demonstrations, local history presentations, and family-friendly fun. Guests can enjoy woodworking and blacksmith demonstrations, traditional craft displays, cultural exhibits, fishing and casting activities, the Crystal Bridges Mobile Art Lab, rag doll-making, button-making, kids’ mini-train rides, face painting, model trains, bubble art, and a visit from Strike the Sasquatch of the Northwest Arkansas Naturals.
Several local museums, cultural groups, and community organizations will also be part of the celebration, including Ozark Folkways, the Arkansas Coalition of Marshallese, the Hmong Culture Club, Hispanic Women’s Association of Arkansas, Rogers Historical Museum, Museum of Native American History, Arkansas Archeological Survey, Prairie Grove Battlefield State Park, and many more.
The block party will also debut Our Changing Landscape, a new Shiloh Museum exhibit sharing an Ozark perspective on the nation’s 250th birthday. Food will be available from Sombrero Azul, serving Salvadorian and Mexican food, and Icy Kids of NWA, offering Italian ice and lemonade.
