A multi-agency law enforcement effort involving drones, aviation units, and K9s led to the arrest of an Orlando man on Saturday morning after a stolen vehicle was tracked across county lines.
The incident began at approximately 10:09 a.m. on Saturday, July 4, 2026, when deputies with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office spotted a silver 2013 Chrysler 300 in northeast Polk County. The vehicle had previously been reported stolen out of Orlando on July 2.
As the vehicle moved toward the county line, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office deployed additional resources, including its Air, K9, and Drone units, and alerted the neighboring Osceola County Sheriff’s Office about the vehicle’s direction.
The pursuit ended when the Chrysler pulled into a Publix parking lot located in Champions Gate, just inside Osceola County lines. The driver, identified as 31-year-old Fabian Antonio Chambers of Orlando, exited the vehicle and walked into the grocery store.
Deputies from both agencies established a perimeter around the location. Chambers was arrested by the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office inside the jurisdiction and has been charged with Grand Theft Motor Vehicle.
