The Orlando Magic waived Jonathan Isaac, a move that will save the team $6.5 million ahead of the 2026-27 season. Isaac was drafted sixth overall in the 2017 NBA draft and served as the longest tenured forward on the Magic, with nine years on the squad.

Isaac’s Career with the Magic

In a little under a decade, Isaac has played 328 games, starting 109 of them. He scored 2231 points with the Magic with a career high of 720 in the 2018-2019 season. This past season, Isaac appeared in 52 games for the Magic, missing the playoffs due to a left knee strain.
