A fire prompted a freeway closure in Moreno Valley on Saturday, officials said. Crews responded to the “Iron Fire,” which had grown to 250 acres, near World Logistics Center Parkway and Eucalyptus Avenue just before 2:15 p.m., according to the CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire Department.
The agency said all westbound lanes of state Route 60 were closed between Interstate 10 and World Logistics Center Parkway. It’s unknown when the freeway will reopen. Evacuations were not in place, and no injuries have been reported, officials said. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
