Two years after 72-year-old Kathleen Cade was killed by a stray bullet in her Oklahoma City home, her family is still searching for answers and urging the public to help. Kathleen, who was in her second year of retirement, lost her life in the tragic incident.
A Family’s Plea for Closure
“I know she wasn’t targeted, but we all thought she was in a safe place in her home, in bed,” said Laura Cade, Kathleen’s daughter. The case, which was first reported two years ago, remains unsolved. Laura also shared her desire for closure, saying, “I don’t even care if they go to prison. I just wanna know why, how, and what happened.”
Oklahoma City police said their detectives do not stop working on a case just because a suspect hasn’t been identified. They added that information from the public can be invaluable in helping investigators piece together what happened. Authorities encourage anyone with information, no matter how significant or insignificant it may seem, to come forward and assist in solving the case.
