Hartenstein spoke of his commitment to the initiative, stating that every year they want to come back and do a little back-to-school thing, providing backpacks, haircuts, food, and different activities to 300 kids to make sure they’re going into the school year on a high note.
The event also featured food, games, free haircuts, and appearances by Thunder DJ Emcee One and the team’s mascot, Rumble. Backpacks filled with school supplies were distributed to ensure every child is ready for their first day of school.
