A terrazzo design in the proposed downtown Oklahoma City arena will honor Thunder fans by representing their collective voice and energy. The concourse floor design will include a terrazzo pattern inspired by overlapping sound waves, with darker shades of blue representing the sound from the crowd.
Artist’s Vision
The artist said the design represents individual voices coming together to create something much bigger than themselves. The art piece is projected to cost $300,000 and is part of the one percent art ordinance requirement for all municipal projects.
