An Ohio man is facing charges after a deadly head-on crash in Bracken County, Kentucky, last weekend. The crash occurred on the AA Highway near the intersection with Dutch Ridge Road.
According to the Kentucky State Police, a Ford SUV crossed the median to pass another car as both were headed westbound on the highway. The SUV hit a Kia that was traveling in the opposite direction, killing both people inside the Kia. They were identified as Tyler Smith and Emily Smith, both residents of Bracken County.
Brandon Barrett of Ohio was charged with two counts of reckless homicide and wanton endangerment. Barrett was arrested by the University of Kentucky Police Department after being taken to UK Medical Center for treatment. He was then taken to the Fayette County Detention Center.
