The Denver Nuggets have matched the Oklahoma City Thunder’s two-year, $12 million offer sheet for forward Spencer Jones, according to ESPN.

Jones, a restricted free agent, was offered the fully-guaranteed contract by the Thunder on Saturday. The Nuggets had until 11:59 p.m. ET on Sunday to match the offer and retain Jones.

Jones averaged 5.5 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 22.1 minutes in 64 regular-season games last season. He shot 50.4% from the field and started three of six playoff games for the Nuggets.

By matching the Thunder’s offer, the Nuggets will see a $32 million increase in current luxury taxes to $68 million and will enter the second apron.
