Award-winning Meteorologist Brian Fowler has been fascinated by all things weather since his early days growing up in McKinney, Texas. His family owned an asphalt/paving company, where they built roads, hauled sand and gravel, and did some excavating. Weather was paramount in everything they did, as bad weather equaled no work.
Brian discovered hobbies that made his love for weather grow. By age 12, he had his SCUBA license, and at 16, he was a certified skydiver. He was also learning to fly, but college took over his wallet. Brian attended Mississippi State University, where he received his GeoSciences Degree with an emphasis in Broadcast Meteorology.
Tracking today’s weather or tomorrow’s storms is not just a job to Brian; it’s his passion. Whether you’re concerned about a severe storm moving your way or taking the kids to the game, Brian knows how important the weather is to shaping your everyday.
