NFIB’s Small Business Legal Center is involved in three Oregon cases, protecting small business rights in federal and state courts. One case is about a lower court’s meal-break decision, which NFIB has asked the Oregon Supreme Court to review.

In another case, before the Oregon Court of Appeals, NFIB has joined with others in submitting a ‘Petition for Judicial Review’ over the Oregon Climate Protection Program. The program imposes steeply declining caps on critical fuel supplies such as natural gas, propane, gasoline, and diesel.
In the case of Ana Mirkovic v. TenAsys Corporation, NFIB filed an amicus brief questioning whether wage transparency legislation can be used to shield employees from termination when they are negotiating a promotion or raise.
