The Nashville Predators announced a reworked contract for newly acquired forward Mavrik Bourque, who signed a six-year, $33 million deal. Bourque, 24, was a first-round selection of the Dallas Stars in 2020.
Bourque’s playing time has steadily increased since his rookie season. He recorded 73 appearances in his second year and 82 games last season, with career highs of 41 points, 20 goals, and 21 assists.
The Predators traded for Bourque on July 1, also acquiring defenseman Ilya Lyubushkin from the Dallas Stars in exchange for a pair of draft picks.
