Naper Nights returns to Naper Settlement in Naperville this weekend, bringing tribute performances celebrating Aretha Franklin, Sly and the Family Stone, AC/DC and Ozzy Osbourne to the museum’s 13-acre outdoor campus, along with local food vendors and a free children’s area.
Performances and Vendors
Chicago’s very own dynamic 9-piece funk and soul group, Bumpus, will kick off Naper Nights playing everyone’s favorite Sly and the Family Stone hits from 8-10PM on Friday, June 19. LaShera Moore Ellis, along with a powerhouse 10-piece band, will open the night and bring the music of Aretha Franklin to life with R-E-S-P-E-C-T: A Tribute to Aretha Franklin from 6-7:30PM.
Crazy Train – America’s Ozzy Tribute will headline Naper Nights from 8-10PM on Saturday, June 20. Witness the legendary Vinny Cormier, North America’s #1 Ozzy Osbourne tribute artist, in an unforgettable tribute to the Prince of Darkness. Rock out to the ultimate AC/DC concert experience featuring explosive energy, powerhouse vocals, and the electrifying guitar riffs of DOWN/POUR from 6-7:30PM.
Naper Nights will open each night with local students from the School of Rock playing their favorites on stage beginning at 5PM.
Food and Drink
Naper Settlement will celebrate the community by offering local cuisine from a variety of vendors including Craft Urban, Billy Bricks, Ben & Jerry’s, Chick-Fil-A, Jersey Mike’s and Grumpy Gaucho. There will be beer selections from Alter Brewing Company, wine selections from Rodney Strong Vineyards, and canned cocktails including Lipton Hard Iced Tea and Riki Tequila Seltzer.
A children’s area with activities provided by Pinot’s Palette and Chasers Laser Tag will also be on site.
Each night, all tips collected at the beverage tents benefit a local organization. Tips on Friday benefit the A.D.O.P.T Pet Shelter, and Saturday’s tips will go to the Kyle Zuleg Foundation.
