A 61-year-old man, Steven Parker, is accused of driving around Mount Washington and attempting to lure children into his vehicle, according to investigators. Detective Matthew Stewart of the Cincinnati Police Department said Parker targeted children “whom he described as attractive,” adding that he admitted to the reported allegations in the case.
Investigation Details
Prosecutors revealed that Parker contacted a 14-year-old girl on multiple days, “repeatedly coaxing her to get into his vehicle to engage in a sex act.” Another known victim is a 12-year-old girl, and authorities fear there may be more victims. Stewart noted that Parker lives in an area with multiple schools and described an incident involving an unknown victim.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about the investigation to contact police. The case is set to go before a grand jury in July. Parker faces charges of a fourth-degree felony and a misdemeanor. The judge set Parker’s bond at $30,000 and ordered no contact with minors or prosecuting witnesses.
