Mother Daughter Hikers Missing In San Gorgonio Wilderness

Alexis Meyers Martinez, 21, and Krystal Meyers, 41, were reported missing after they disappeared Thursday morning in the San Gorgonio Wilderness. They were hiking the Vivian Creek Trail, the shortest and the steepest route to the summit of Mount San Gorgonio, authorities said.

Search Efforts

Anyone with information was asked to call the Yucaipa Police Station at 909-918-2305. The San Gorgonio Wilderness in San Bernardino National Forest includes mountain hiking trails, various wildlife and San Gorgonio Peak, the area’s highest point at 11,502 feet. Trails are recommended for intermediate to expert hikers with elevations ranging from 6,200 feet to 11,499 feet on San Gorgonio Mountain.
