A bull moose was seen wandering behind tents on the west side of the Center for the Arts lawn in Jackson, Wyoming, on Wednesday evening. The moose, which appeared to be young, made its way down the alleyway lining the south end of the lawn and crossed Cache Street, heading east.
The moose also made a brief appearance at the Art Association of Jackson Hole’s event being held on the other side of the Center complex. Attendees at the weekly summer farmer’s market were surprised by the unexpected wildlife encounter.
It’s essential to remember that moose, although photogenic, can react when startled by humans who get too close. It’s crucial to allow a minimum of 25 yards of space between humans and wildlife.
