Universal Kids Resort in Frisco, Texas, is opening to the public on July 1. The 20-acre theme park is located at the corner of Dallas Parkway and Panther Creek Parkway and features seven lands based on popular DreamWorks, Illumination, and Nickelodeon properties.

The resort includes a 300-room hotel designed for both out-of-town guests and locals looking for a staycation. Family suites with bunk beds can sleep five to six people. The resort also offers kid-friendly dining options, with menus designed specifically for children.
Universal Kids Resort features attractions, dining, merchandise, and interactive elements in each of its seven lands, including Shrek, SpongeBob, Minions, Trolls, Puss in Boots, Jurassic World, and Gabby’s Dollhouse. The park is designed for young families, with a focus on providing a fun and safe environment for children.
Local Reaction
FOX 4’s Lori Brown previewed the park with her children and said it was bigger than she expected, with a good range of activities for her family. Her children enjoyed the Bello Bay Cruise ride, a river raft ride featuring the Minions.
