A West Monroe-based company, Delta Specialty Contractors LLC, was chosen from nine bidders to build a perimeter fence at the Minden Airport. The company’s bid of $230,625 was the lowest responsive bid meeting all requirements and specifications, and was unanimously approved by the Minden City Council.
The airport is also updating and establishing hangar fees with the council’s approval. According to Mayor Nick Cox, the fence is a valuable addition to the airport, as it will help prevent animals from entering the runway.
