Metro Hall Introduces ‘Selfie Station’ for Newlyweds in Jefferson County

The Jefferson County Clerk’s Office has introduced a unique way for couples to commemorate the beginning of their marital journey. Located at the Downtown Professional Licensing Office in Metro Hall, a new ‘selfie station’ is available for couples obtaining their marriage licenses. This initiative coincides with June, which the Clerk’s Office has dubbed the unofficial month of love due to the high volume of marriage license applications.

A Special Keepsake

While marriage licenses can be obtained at any branch within Jefferson County, the downtown office provides a special photo opportunity. The selfie station allows soon-to-be newlyweds to capture a memorable moment as they take the first legal step towards their marriage in Kentucky. The photos are printed with a decorative pink border adorned with red, white, and pink hearts, along with a congratulatory message from the Clerk’s Office.

Celebrating Love Locally

This initiative not only celebrates the couples’ commitment but also highlights the importance of family and community values in Jefferson County. By offering this service, the Clerk’s Office supports traditional family structures and provides a joyful experience for couples embarking on their new life together. The selfie station is a testament to the community’s dedication to honoring significant life events with warmth and positivity.
