Maryland Early Voting Turnout Lags

With the June 23 primary election approaching, Maryland voters have just two more days to cast an early ballot. As of Monday, only 2.26% of eligible voters have submitted a ballot during the early voting period, according to data from the Maryland State Board of Elections.

Lower turnout is expected in a midterm year, especially without a presidential candidate on the ticket.
