A man with a loaded magazine and hollow-point bullets in his pocket was arrested at the Trump National Golf Club in Rancho Palos Verdes, California, just days before a planned presidential visit. Jeanine John Taele, 38, of Downey, California, was taken into custody after plainclothes federal agents reported a suspicious person at the golf course.
Arrest and Charges
Taele was found to be carrying a concealed firearm and possessing armor-piercing or prohibited ammunition. A search of his vehicle revealed a loaded pistol, and a subsequent search of his home turned up an illegally modified semi-automatic rifle, a .45-caliber pistol, body armor, and high-capacity magazines.
Taele has been charged with second-degree robbery and multiple counts related to firearms possession. The arrest came two days before Donald Trump was scheduled to visit the golf resort for a fundraiser.
