Maine Dem Primary Winner

Maine Democratic Senate candidate Graham Platner has won the state’s Democratic primary, despite being embroiled in multiple controversies. The co-hosts of ‘The View’ recently debated whether to support Platner, with some expressing concerns over his past actions.

Controversies Surrounding Platner

Platner, a military combat veteran and oyster farmer, has been accused of having a Nazi symbol tattoo, which he claims to have covered up. He has also been accused of making homophobic slurs and exchanging sexually explicit messages with several women while married. Additionally, some of his ex-girlfriends have come forward with allegations of a history of rape fantasies, heavy drinking, and violent episodes.

Co-host Sara Haines expressed her concerns about Platner’s character, stating that his actions have shown who he is. She also mentioned that the Democratic party is supposed to be the party of the MeToo movement, and that they should listen to the allegations made against Platner.

Co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin also expressed her concerns, stating that Platner’s track record is ‘really bad’ and that she believes the allegations made against him. She also mentioned that just because Democrats don’t approve of the current administration, it doesn’t mean they should engage in a ‘race to the bottom’.

However, co-host Sunny Hostin took a different stance, stating that she would ‘hold her nose’ and vote for Platner if she lived in Maine. She argued that Democrats should put emotions aside and focus on gaining power and taking over the Senate and House.
