The city of Jasper, Alabama, is getting a head start on celebrating America’s 250th birthday with a special event this Thursday at the Jasper Civic Center. The event, hosted by Jasper Main Street, the Walker County Arts Alliance, and the Walker County Chamber of Commerce, will feature local art and a strong sense of community.
Community Art Project
Residents are invited to paint a tile that will become part of a mural permanently displayed on the side of the Glover Drugs building. The Walker County Arts Alliance will also showcase ‘Liberty’, part of the 50-mule public art project.
The city of Jasper invites those wishing to attend to arrive early to take part in the mural project and to stick around to enjoy the evening in celebration of our history and a bright future.
