The family of Alyssa Hill, a Skyline Chili waitress who was tragically killed while working in Norwood, has shared plans for a public viewing to honor her life. Hill was working at the Norwood Skyline restaurant last Tuesday afternoon when a man she briefly dated, Rick Wright, entered and sat at a table. After Hill asked a co-worker to wait on him, Wright ordered a glass of water, then put on a military-style hat and stabbed Hill, who died.
Public Viewing and Funeral Plans
A public viewing to honor Hill will be held on Monday, June 15, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Paul R. Young Funeral Home in Mount Healthy. A separate funeral service for Hill will be held at a later date and will be closed to the public, according to the family’s statement.
Starting Monday, 20 percent of the Norwood restaurant’s sales this week have gone toward a fund for Hill’s two children. Skyline Chili and Coca-Cola have each donated $25,000 to the fund. A GoFundMe has also been set up to help Alyssa’s family.
