Louisville Man Convicted Of Murder

A Louisville man has been convicted of murder for the 2024 Iroquois shooting that resulted in the death of 21-year-old Dion Smith Jr. Gage Lewis was found guilty of the crime and faces a recommended sentence of 20 years.

Shooting Details

Smith was shot inside a gas station in the 4400 block of Taylor Boulevard, just north of Iroquois High School, in May 2024. Lewis was 18 at the time of the shooting. Another person was also shot and had non-life-threatening injuries.

Lewis was arrested and charged with murder on August 5. His sentencing is scheduled for October.
