Louisville artist Jaylin Monet’ Stewart has opened her first solo gallery show, Redemption, at the Floyd County Cultural Arts Center in New Albany, Indiana. The exhibition features installations and scenes created from places significant to Stewart’s community and personal history.

Stewart’s work honors her upbringing and heritage, with pieces like ‘The Park’ and ‘Bricks’ showcasing her experiences growing up in Louisville’s West End. The exhibition also explores themes of mental health and personal narrative.
As part of the programming, Stewart has curated activity kits featuring her creation, Monte’ the Doll, to help young people connect with the artwork. The exhibition is on display until October 17, and the Cultural Center is offering various activities for all ages this summer.
